Sally John
Sally John has been creating stories all her life, but it wasn’t until 1998 that she became a published author. A dozen novels later, Sally has been nominated three times for the Christian Bookseller Association’s Christy Award for contemporary fiction, and is currently collaborating on a new series with noted speaker and author on family relationships, Gary Smalley. Her popular novels cover everything from small-town dynamics to Chicago emergency personnel to Pacific beach epiphanies.
Initially inspired to write after penning a computer software manual, Sally has also published nonfiction articles in a variety of magazines. She frequently speaks at workshops and conferences about writing and family issues.
Sally graduated from Moline High School and Illinois State University with a degree in education. She taught Reading until her two children were born and then began her second career in writing. Writing takes a backseat only to her cherished roles of wife, mom, mom-in-law, and grandma. She currently lives in Southern California with husband Tim.
